01/14/2007 | Doug's Interview
MCAV President, Doug Treasure, told the ABC he was on the high plains to support the Maguire and Connley families. He explained how grazing was a valuable management tool and was necessary to protect the plains from the wildfires raging in valleys to the south.Doug said the best thing that could happen would be for other cattlemen to return to their runs as a protective environmental measure. The day will come when governments will plead for cattlemen to graze their mobs in the mountains as a management tool.
