Wendy Stoney and Neville Wright came over from the north-east to lend a hand. Wendy had to contend with the stress of knowing that that the fires surrounding the Stoney farm at Howqua Hills had flared up and were raging again while we were droving. Her husband Graeme wisely stayed at home and with a huge effort managed to save the property.
